Wei Jingsheng Foundation Held Board Meeting
On November 21, the Wei Jingsheng Foundation had a board meeting. All board members participated in the meeting except one. Each participator reviewed and approved the work report by Ciping Huang, the Executive Director. Three resolutions were proposed, seconded and voted for by the board.
The board elected Ms. Marie Holzman as its board chair. Ms. Holzman is an internationally reputed Sino-study expert. When Mr. Wei Jingsheng was in jail, she worked tirelessly on international levels to advocate his release. Afterwards, she contributed significantly to this foundation. The board also warmly welcomes Princess Felizitas von Schonborn, an editor and a writer who has written several books and many articles, as its newest board member. Finally, the board passed a resolution proposed by Mr. Wei Jingsheng to honor the departed board chairman, Mr. William Zabel, for his past contributions to this foundation.

魏京生基金会董事会成功召开
2003年11月21日，魏京生基金会董事会会议结束。除一名董事因故未能与会外，其他的董事皆参加了会议并投了票。董事会通过了由基金会执行主任黄慈萍所提交的工作报告，并投票通过了三项提案。
董事会选出法国巴黎的国际著名的汉学家玛丽侯芷明女士(Ms. Marie Holzman)为董事长。在魏京生先生还在狱中之时，是侯芷明女士长期不懈的努力帮助赢得了国际上的关注。之后，她为本基金会作出了很大的贡献。董事会还选出居瑞士的菲什波恩公主(Princess Felizitas von Scholnborn)为其最新的董事会成员。什波恩公主本人是一位编辑及作家，她出过几本书并发表过许多文章。在魏京生先生的提议下，董事会通过决议表彰离职的前董事长威廉斋宝(Mr. William Zabel)先生，感谢他过去对魏京生基金会所作的贡献。
