Wei Jingsheng supports the Tibetan Hunger Strikers before the United Nations, and asked the Tibetan people to never give up their freedom struggle.

In a message to the Tibetan rally at the Upper Senate Park in the nation's capital on Monday, Wei Jingsheng said that he supports the demands of the Tibetan Youth Congress Hunger Strikers.: "On behalf of the democracy campaigners in China, I support the demands of the hunger strikers.  Never stop your freedom struggle even if the Chinese government engages you in negotiations because the Chinese Communists are not sincere negotiators."

"Tibetans should," he continued, "support the Middle Path approach to solve the Tibetan issue because there are many Chinese who support the Tibetan leadership of the Dalai Lama and the Middle Path approach.

For his long and tireless efforts for freedom and democracy in China, Wei has won the Dalai Lama's support as a Nobel peace Prize Nominee in the past.
