JingSheng Office Founded in China
September 19, 2005
JingSheng Office announces its official founding today in Beijing, China. This office will be focus its effort in the following two areas. One is to engage all the affairs in association with civil living and civil rights following the current Chinese laws. The purpose is to help these people whose rights have been severely violated with hardship to make a living, yet unable to seek for fair justice in China. The other is to collect and organizing information about people's living condition along with all the information associated with people's living condition and their rights, as well as to provide the said information to the related departments, urging for a resolution, as well as to reserve the rights to expose these information to the news media both inside and outside of China. This is the right should not be violated.
This office sincerely welcome friends and associates to provide their expertise, as well as guidance, support and help.

An introduction to Mr. LIU JingSheng
LIU Jingsheng started his effort to push for social progress since the "Democracy Wall" time in the late 1970’s, when he joined the team publishing the democracy magazine "Exploration" which was founded by Mr. WEI Jingsheng. During that period, Mr. LIU Jingsheng was very involved in democracy activities. In 1991, he joined with more than 200 others founding the two organizations "Chinese Freedom and Democracy Party" and "The Preparation Committee of Free Workers' Union of China." Others working with him were Mr. HU ShiGen, Mr. WANG GuoQi, Mr. KANG YuChun, Mr. ZHAO Xin, etc. He mailed many democracy advocacy materials all over China during that time, which resulted in a 15-year jail sentence under the charge of "organizing and leading anti-revolutionary groups" and "publishing anti-revolution propaganda". LIU Jingsheng finished his sentence and was released on November 27, 2004. In April 2005, he and his friend registered the "Beijing HuaXia Consultation Center for the Defense of Civil Rights" in an effort to begin helping others to defend their civil rights. However, through the government's forceful interference the registration was forced to be cancelled.

京生工作室成立通告
京生工作室即日成立。本工作室主要致力于两项工作：一、在现有法律框架内从事与民
众生存及权利状况有关的一切事务，帮助那些无力生存与权利受到严重侵害，投诉无门
的人；二、收集、整理与民众生存状况与权利状况有关的一切信息，将收集、整理后的
信息提供给相关部门，督促其解决，同时保留将所获信息向境内外媒体曝光的权利，这
一权利神圣不可侵犯。
本工作室诚挚欢迎热心于此的朋友提供指导、支持与帮助。

刘京生个人简历：1978年“西单民主墙”时期，加入魏京生创办的民主刊物《探索》，积极开展民主启蒙活动，后被定罪免诉。1991年，与胡石根、王国齐、康玉春、赵昕等200余人共同组建“中国自由民主党”与“自由工会筹备委员会”，多次向全国邮寄民主宣传材料，后因“组织领导反革命集团罪”和“反革命宣传煽动罪”被判刑15年。2004年11月27日刑满释放。2005年4月，与朋友到工商局注册成立“北京华夏公维咨询中心”，致力于开展公民维权活动，后因政府强制干预，被迫注销。
