Tiananmen Massacre
The shootings on
June 4, 1989 have frozen the bloody massacre in history. One year or 16 years,
the Massacre will always be fresh in the world's memory. While a generation's
hope was ruthlessly crushed, the spirit lives in the world's soul forever.
In 1989, the
courage and sacrifice of the Chinese people shook and changed the world. Sadly
the flame of freedom was extinguished by blood in China. However the democracy
movement has changed the human race. While it lead to the fall of the Berlin
Wall, the disintegration of the Soviet Union, it did not lead to political
changes in China. Chinese must ask ourselves: is it a twist of fate in our
history? Is it a curse on our Chinese people?
The ancient
Tiananmen Square has witnessed the most brilliance of China history. It also
witnessed the most shameful pages in Chinese history. Sixteen years ago the
Chinese people innocently believed the rulers would recognize a voluntary,
patriotic democratic movement. Yet, their idol - the Goddess of Democracy - was
crushed. It proved without any doubt that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is
built on lies and more lies; the CCP would stop at nothing to maintain its
power and control. The Chinese people were greatly disappointed, to say the
least.
Like lighting,
June 4th broke through the innocence and ignorance of the Chinese people. It
shattered the delusion, the historical curse of imperial rule. In its place was
extreme outrage.
The Phoenix will
rise from the ashes. This wave of outrage will carry China to a new era of
democratic development.
To the CCP,
however, the blood of Tiananmen and later suppression were justified by 'economic
progress' and the call for 'stability'. Tiananmen became the crematorium of
conscience, morality and justice; a place under harsh police surveillance and
suppression; a burial ground of dreams of human dignity.
June 4th became
the monument of shame for this generation of Chinese people. It scattered them
all over the world seeking political asylum. Nothing will wash away their shame
and outrage.
What does June
4th mean? No amount of threat and
suppression will ever diminish humanity's thirst for freedom. No amount of
difficulty and oppression will ever break the human longing for justice. Such is the rule of history - death and
rebirth.
For 16 long
years, the force of freedom and justice, under the most difficult of
circumstances, gradually expand among the masses; gradually works toward the
dawning of an era.
For 16 years,
masses of people all over the world incessantly demand: "Tell the
truth"! They refuse to forget. They seek justice. They seek conscience.
We believe that
June 4th is a grave wound on our national body. It is a severe insult to all
people of the world. The world must understand that the CCP is the mother of
all evils. The only way out is to eliminate the one Party rule. That is the
only sure way of Chinese national renewal.
Some promote
tolerance as a way to heal the historical wound. We Agree. Our future depends
on tolerance. However, there will not be tolerance without knowing the truth
first.
The CCP
proclaims: "Stability above all else". This proclamation is the
mother of all irony. Stability cannot suppress the people's thirst for dignity,
for justice and for freedom. Suppression cannot stop the tidal wave of
democracy and freedom. Using suppression to get stability will get exactly the
opposite. In China the escalation of epidemic human rights violations are the
best proof of that. The disintegration of the former Soviet Union is another
unique proof.
It's been 16
long years. Witnesses of the Massacre have gradually left this world while the
butchers empty the national treasury; holding 1.3 billion people hostage. They
exploit the blood, sweat and tears of the people using the 'three
representatives'. The rulers are pushing China on the path of destruction. It
seems that the winds of civilization and freedom have difficulty penetrating
this tragic land.
Dear
compatriots: facing the calling of the era and the urgings of tortured souls,
we can no longer hesitate nor retreat. The people of China can no longer bear
the cruel enslavement. We must stand together with all on this planet who
thirst and struggle for human rights and dignity. We must affirm the truth,
return the heroes to the people, and restore hope to China. Every one of us
must take responsibility to affirm our historical mission and restore our conscience.
Hereby, we vow
under the cosmos that: the blood of the heroes and the tears of the people will
not be shed in vain. History written by heroic blood will not be covered up nor
eliminated from the human experience. The spark of June 4th will become a
firestorm. The spirit of June 4th will hasten the development of a free and
democratic China!

"六四"---血铸的历史，"八九"---不灭的希望！

一九八九年六月四日，当北京城响起那罪恶的枪声之后，血铸的历史便凝固到了今天。无论是周年祭，还是十六周年祭，“六四”的血迹永远鲜目，不因时间而蒙污尘埃，不因遗忘而失却圣洁。虽然，一代人的希望曾被无情地碾碎，但这个时代的精神却并不因此结束，它已化为了中国人永恒的图腾。
一九八九年——中国改变了世界，但自由的火种却淹灭在血泊之中。天安门民主运动——这一划时代的大事件，它改变了人类的思维和东西方世界的型态，它冲开了铁幕和推倒了柏林墙。却偏偏未能改变中国人自己的命运——这是历史的诘问？还是民族的悲哀？今天，中国的命运却依然如旧，中国人已到了扪心自问？这是为什么的时候了！
古老的天安门广场——它曾记录了中国人最辉煌的一页！它亦刻下了中国人最深刻的耻辱！ 十六年前，中国人曾衷心祈盼著奇迹——几千年的专制阴魂会被一张“非暴力”的符咒镇住，颤巍巍地匍匐在洁白的民主女神像脚下，统治者会收敛其嗜血的天性，承认这是一场人民自发的爱国民主运动，并与之共商改革大业；中国人曾真诚的相信，这磅礴大潮所转化的能量，将使中国进入一个最朝气蓬勃的新纪元。
“六四”——如一道闪电劈开了中国人的混沌愚昧，血光下映照出这个民族两千年来未曾摆脱的宿命。罪恶的枪声击穿了中国人的所有梦想。击碎了专制迷雾中曾闪现出的民主希望。共产党的坦克碾碎了人心的同时也碾倒了虚幻的偶像。中华民族的心口上流淌出殷红色耻辱的同时也喷发出了岩浆般的愤怒！——这是否预示了这个古老的民族必将经历那——“凤凰涅磐、浴火重生”的惨烈命运才能走向未来的拯救和新生？
“六四”是中国人的十字架，它决定了中国这十六年所有的选择与命运。十六年来的铁血“稳定”和繁荣“娼”盛，全都可以在那里找到根源。今日的天安门——已成了民族精神的火葬场和道德良知的行刑地；一个由刺刀戒严十六年的、不能放上鲜花的墓地，它埋葬著在中国关于人性之尊严的最后梦想。
“六四”是中国人的耻辱柱，是中国人同为人类成员却与自由无缘的悲哀极至。在全世界的众目睽睽下，邪恶绝对地战胜了正义。它让所有的“外国”都变成了中国人的“避难所”，它使全人类的良知都为之无地自容。即使已十六年之久，即使所有的淡忘与放弃，都无法抹去整整一代人的耻辱与羞愤！
“六四”意味着什么？“六四”意味着统治者以血腥地屠杀吞噬了一个民族自我更新、主动变革的全部努力，那么，等待着它的就只有灭亡！因为人类的天性决定了——对自由的追求，是无法扑灭的！对民主的向往，是不可阻挡的！它决不会遵从专制者的逻辑禁锢在物欲里，它活跃在人们的灵魂和血液中！──它一定会挣脱出来，它要“打破”现在、“开辟”未来，哪怕这未来充满了苦难、不安、牺牲、绝望等一系列的未知数！这就是历史永恒的步伐：腐朽与再生！──这轮回的周期趋近临界时，大劫──也就快要降临了……
十六年来，在国人噤若寒蝉的沉默和麻木中，一条由奋起者开辟的血路在绝世悲歌中正朝着这一历史指向艰难地延伸——他们在披荆斩棘，他们在默默耕耘。他们在延续火种，他们在唤起民众！ ……祭坛之下，梦想和痛苦仍在燃烧；放眼望去，觉醒与抗争已蔚然成潮，一个反专制、要民主，反迫害、争自由的大联盟正在广泛的形成。
十六年来，从北京到纽约，从曼谷到汉城，从香港到多伦多，从巴黎到悉尼，从东京到旧金山，全世界越来越多的人们在今日汇集。他们坚忍着心底涌起的刺痛和悲凉！向世界发出了——“说出真相，拒绝遗忘，寻求正义，呼唤良知”的道义呐喊！
我们认为：“六四”是伤痕累累的民族肌体上的巨大伤口，是中国人的“国殇”。它已长达了十六年并且还将“长久”下去的容忍冷漠、麻木和万马齐喑，则更是中华民族的奇耻大辱！十六年前的英雄血，十六年来的苍生泪，十六年来与时俱进的贪婪和腐败与十六年来日益疯狂的谎言和暴力，难道还不足以擦亮国民的眼晴和唤醒国民的良知吗？沉默无声是可耻的，我们无法逃离自己，无法逃出这个时代。中国人必须明白：中共是中华民族灾难的根源，终结中共一党专政的制度才是改变国人命运的唯一出路！没有共产党才有新中国！才能真正地拯救我们这个民族的灵魂！
有人说：宽容才是愈合历史伤口的药方。——不错，“没有宽容就没有未来”，但没有“真相”则不可能有真正的“宽容”。忘记过去，意味着一切罪恶都有可能卷土重来！一个失去记忆的民族，是不可能有真正的“进步”和“公义”的！走出历史的阴影，并不是将历史轻易地遗忘；追求光明和幸福的未来，亦绝非忘记前人的斑斑血泪和艰难开拓的足迹……
中共说：“稳定压倒一切”？——这是世界上最无耻的谎言！“稳定”压不倒人民对生命尊严的渴望，压不倒人们对自由正义的向往，压不倒世界民主化进程浩荡的历史潮流。以强力高压为支撑的“稳定”，必然是虚伪、扭曲的，同时也是嗜血的。在中国，一系列层出不穷不断升级地严重践踏公民权利、肆意伤害公民身心的人权灾难即是明证......
十六年了！当年的历史见证者正在一天天的老去。而凶手们却盗空了国库，在刺刀押解的“和谐”中挟持着十三亿人质，在“三个代表”的喧嚣中榨干了国民们的所有血汗。权贵们在末世的疯狂中正将中国一步步地推向毁灭。现代文明的自由之风，似乎总也吹不进这一片苦难深重的大地……
面对灵魂的拷问，面对时代的呼唤，同胞们：我们再也不能退缩，再也不能沉默了！中华民族的未来再也不能忍受独裁者的奴役了！让我们挺直做人的身躯，与海内外所有争取自由民主和人权解放的人们站在一起，为把真相还给历史，把英雄还给人民，把希望还给中国，自觉担负起我们每一个中国人的责任、良知与使命吧！
遥望苍穹，我们向英灵们透过斑斑弹孔洒下的星光宣誓：烈士的血和人民的泪决不会白流，一个血与火铸就的悲壮记忆决无法从历史中抹去！“八九”的火种必将星火燎原，“六四”精神必将汇入千古绵亘的民族血脉之中，化为自由中国不灭的希望！
