WEI Jingsheng Meets with Democratic House Leader Pelosi in the US Capitol, Commit to Further Work on China Issues
On Tuesday, December 13, WEI Jingsheng and his aides HUANG Ciping and MENG Bo'en met with Nancy PELOSI, the Democratic Leader of the United States House of Representatives, and Jonathan Stivers, her advisor, to discuss further work on China issues.
The Democratic Leader was interested of in-depth knowledge and analysis about China and its developing future from the Chinese democracy movement leader, Wei Jingsheng. Among other things, Congresswoman Pelosi consulted with Wei in regarding what policy the US Congress should have towards China and other related international affairs. They also discussed some of the specific ways they could work together to help further the causes of democracy and human rights in China.
During the meeting, Pelosi praised Wei as "an international hero", and said that Wei was always an inspiration to her and that he was "very wise". For years, Congresswoman Pelosi has been a consistent supporter of Wei, his work, and his causes, even when Wei was in a Chinese jail.

美国民主党领袖佩洛西与魏京生会晤，就中国问题进行咨询并探讨今后的合作安排
2005年12月13日下午，魏京生先生及其助手黄慈萍、孟伯恩前往美国民主党领袖南希佩洛西在美国国会的办公室，与南希佩洛西议员及她的领袖事务导师詹纳森施特瓦尔斯就有关中国事务会见了一个多小时。
南希佩洛西就目前中国的局势及发展趋势向中国民主运动的领袖魏京生进行了解并聆听他的分析。她特别就美国国会应采取的中国政策及其它相关国际事务进行咨询。双方就如何在具体运作上推动中国的自由与民主发展做出了安排。
会见中，南希佩洛西称赞魏京生为“国际英雄”，“极具智慧”，且始终是激励她的楷模。佩洛西多年来都是魏京生及其信仰与工作的支持者。
