Chinese President Hu Jintao's US Visit Will Encounter Demonstrations and Protests from the Chinese Democracy Organizations and FaLun Gong Practitioners

At the visit by Chinese President Hu Jintao, the Chinese in the US are preparing to greet him in different ways. According to the report by "Voice of America" today, during Hu's US visit time, the overseas Chinese democracy organizations and Falun Gong Practitioners are going to have demonstrations and protests.
The Secretary-General of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition, HUANG Ciping, told the reporters that, during Hu's visit, they were spending their effort lobbying US politicians, especially US Congress members, to ask President Bush to pay attention to the Chinese political environment, especially the cases of political dissidents and Internet writers.
HUANG Ciping pointed out that during Hu's US visit the democracy coalition will join with Falun Gong practitioners to protest and demonstrate.
Falun Gong spokesman, ZHANG Erping said that many rallies are prepared, with a lot of banners and photos displayed on the routes that HU Jintao will pass by. Some photos show the pictures of Falun Gong practitioners who were beaten severely.
Zhang Erping also pointed out that Falun Gong will apply pressure to Hu via politicians in the USA, requesting the stop of persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, as well as asking for justice against those who participated in the persecution directly.
It was also reported that, before Hu's US visit, the Chinese Democracy Party members will hold a hunger strike in front of the White House, from April 5 until April 21.
The chairman of the Chinese Democracy Party, XIE Wanjun, expressed the purpose for the hunger strike was to let people and politicians both in China and in the US to learn of the difficult situation for the Chinese Democracy Party; to support the dialogue between the Chinese Democracy Party and the Chinese Communist Party. Xie pointed out that the purpose of the dialog is to have open elections in China and to legalize the existence of the Chinese Democracy Party.

胡锦涛访美将遭遇民运与法轮功示威抗议
（中央社台北六日电）中国国家主席胡锦涛即将访问美国，旅美华人正准备以不同的方式迎接。据"美国之音"今天的报导说，胡锦涛访美期间，中国海外民运组织与法轮功学员将联合举行示威抗议活动。
中国民运海外联席会议秘书长黄慈萍表示，在胡锦涛即将访美之际，他们正在美国政界开展游说活动，主要是游说美国国会议员，给布希总统请愿，希望他们关注中国国内的政治环境。尤其许多政治犯的个案，网路作家的一些情况。
黄慈萍指出，胡锦涛访美期间，民运联席会议将与法轮功学员联合举行示威抗议活动。
法轮功发言人张而平说，届时会有很多集会，在胡锦涛经过的地方会有很多横幅标语，和一些法轮功学员遭毒打的照片。
张而平指出，法轮功组织将通过美国政界人士对胡锦涛施加压力，要求停止迫害并释放法轮功学员，并把直接参与迫害者绳之以法。
报导又说，胡锦涛访美之前，在美国的中国民主党成员从四月五日起到四月二十一日止，将在白宫前举行绝食抗议。
中国民主党党主席谢万军表示，中国民主党在胡锦涛到访前举行绝食抗议，为的是要中国和美国的民众和政界人士了解民主党的艰难处境，支持中国民主党与中国共产党对话。
谢万军指出，对话的诉求是中国实行开放选举以及让中国民主党合法化。
