A
Naive President Hosts a Well-Coached Dictator
--
Wei Jingsheng's Letters to the Leaders of the US Congress, etc.
Editor's
note: For more than sixty years, the Chinese Communist Party has hidden and
developed its strategy and agenda against the democratic West, passing lessons
from generation to generation.
When Senator Reid said "I am going to go back to Washington
tomorrow and meet with the president of China. He is a dictator" he really
was referring to the state Party of China, for whom Hu Jintao is only a
figurehead. American Presidents
have yet to "see" into the heart of this autocratic system. They still think in terms of the Cold
War with the Soviet Union. But,
the Soviets emerged from World War II as a credible opponent from the
beginning, while Mao Zedong seemed an upstart peasant in a part of the world of
no concern. After all, in
comparing with the Chinese Communist Party, Russians are part of the same
Western Culture as the Americans, and behave in expected ways. But some Americans include their
President do not know China, especially these Chinese Communist dictators. These dictators have no such history
and will not want the same value and civilization as the democratic West. They have no hesitation to use
subterfuge and insult to the best of their advantage against the people at
home, as well as against their hosts abroad, even in the White House.
The
following is Wei Jingsheng's letter today to the leaders of the US Congress and
Secretary Clinton.

Dear
friends,
This
event even made me feel ashamed.
So I have to tell you.
Right
in the White House, during the concert at the end of the state dinner that
President Obama offered to Hu Jintao, the Chinese pianist Lang Lang played a
Chinese song. (Related web
link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kroEprEpvtA start at 6:24.)
After the performance, both President Obama and Hu Jintao thanked the
artist, and took the opportunity to talk about "cooperation" and
"bridges", etc. At the
end of that dinner, Hu Jintao, who has the reputation of being a dull person,
even specially embraced the artist with enthusiasm. (Related link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnbtNtFjyFo near the end of the video.)
Which
kind of music could make Hu so warm, which is so out of his character? I listened to that music with a big
shock. It is from the main theme
song of the best-known Communist propaganda movie about the Korean War when the
Chinese army entered the Korean peninsula to fight with the Americans. The title of the movie is: "Battle
of Triangle Hill" (see link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-aTpkd6-P8). This movie is widely known in China as
a household name, as, for example, "Gone With the Wind" is in the
US. The song is the leading
anti-American propaganda by the Chinese Communist Party. It openly refers to the U.S. military
as "jackals and wolves" (means "cruel and evil people" in
Chinese) and how the Chinese will use weapons to deal with them. Is that not an insult to the USA to
play such kind of music at a state dinner hosted by the US President? No wonder it made Hu Jintao really
happy.
As
the dictator of the biggest autocratic regime, Hu Jintao likes this manner to
humiliate the Americans. This is
normal. What is abnormal is that
it did not happen on a state dinner in China, but a state dinner in the US
White House. So, it appears that
the Americans were humiliating themselves. How could President Obama let this kind of humiliation
happen in his White House, and even praise the artist, meanwhile expressing
"extraordinary pride" and "looking for many years of
cooperation" with a notorious dictator? Some excited "patriotic Chinese" have already
written their comments such as: "the right place, right time, right
song!" on Internet.
Your
friend forever,
Wei
Jingsheng
