Will Protest at the Silicon Valley Office of Alibaba Group
At
3pm on Friday July 19, Fang Zheng, a representatives of the 1989 June 4
Massacre in Beijing, and others will go to the Silicon Valley office of Alibaba
Group to protest its founder Jack Ma's inappropriate remarks about the
Tiananmen Massacre.
When
he was interviewed, Alibaba founder Jack Ma stated that "the crackdown on
June 4 1989 was correct," which has sparked global condemnation. Fang Zheng, who lost his legs when the
tanks ran over him on June 4, 1989, and others who experienced the 1989
democracy movement joined together to initiate a joint protest that asked Ma to
apologize, which has already received more than 800 co-signees. On Friday July 19 at 3 pm, San
Francisco Bay Area people will travel to Alibaba's Silicon Valley office to
submit joint protest statement.

阿里巴巴创办人马云在接受采访时发表“六四镇压决定正确"言论,激起全球谴责。六四凌晨被坦克压伤的学生方政和其他八九民运亲历人发起联署抗议,要求马云道歉,目前已有八百多人参与。7月19日星期五下午三时,旧金山湾区民众将前往阿里巴巴硅谷办事处递交联署抗议声明。
