Thanksgiving
Wishes from Wei Jingsheng and the Wei Jingsheng Foundation
On
this Thanksgiving Day, we want to express our gratitude to all the friends and
supporters who have been supportive all these years, especially this year
during Mr. Wei Jingsheng's hospitalization from his life-threatening illness
and recovery afterwards.
In
particular, we want to inform you that Mr. Wei Jingsheng's has recovered
significantly and he is independent enough to be on his own. He also has gained back more than half
of the 40 pounds he lost due to his illness. As of last week, the last medical bill occurring from his 28
days of hospitalization and the following treatment has been paid off. Without the help and encouragement of
many of you, it would not have been possible. Obviously, our gratitude is beyond what we could express in
this short message.
At
this time of Thanksgiving, we want to emphasize that it is your continuous
support and help that gives us more confidence and courage to face and overcome
all sorts of difficulties in the past and future. We thank you and we look forward at even more cooperation
and coordination together in the future, to achieve a free and democratic
future for China.

魏京生暨魏京生基金会感恩节致谢
值此感恩节之际，魏京生暨魏京生基金会谨此想向多年来坚持不懈地支持和帮助我们的所有的朋友和支持者致谢。尤其是在今年魏京生先生病重住院和恢复期间，大家的关心和支援令我们深深感动。
特别要向朋友们通报的是，魏京生先生的健康状况已恢复了不少，并能独立行动。他因病失去的20公斤体重也恢复了近半。上周，他的28天的住院费用及之后的医疗费也已全部付清。没有大家的帮助和鼓励，这一切是不可能的。毫无疑义，我们的感激之情不是这一短短的简报足以表达的。
在这感恩的时候，我们要强调，是你们大家不断的支持和帮助，给予我们更多的信心和勇气去面对和克服种种困难，我们感谢你们在过去和未来为我们，为大众所做的一切。我们期待更多的合作和协调，为实现一个自由和民主的未来中国而共同努力。
