February 11, 2016, the "Human Rights and Freedom Defender" prize
ceremony etc. were held in Washington DC.
The event was organized by the Wei Jingsheng Foundation, the European
Parliament, Reporters Without Borders and other institutions. US House of Representatives Democratic
leader, Nancy Pelosi, and Robert Bernstein, the founder of Human Rights Watch,
an NGO, received the prizes.
