In Memorial of the June 4th Massacre: Exposing the Horrific Atrocities of the Chinese Communists in Front of the US Capitol

[NTDtv June 3, 2016] To commemorate the 27th anniversary of the June 4th Massacre, the Exhibition of the National Terrorist Atrocities Conducted by the Chinese Communist Regime prepared by democracy activists with a statue of the "Goddess of Democracy" by artist Chen Weiming is touring the United States. They arrived in Washington, DC, the US Capital, in the afternoon on June 2 and held a press conference and public display in front of the Capitol.

On June 4th 27 years ago, the "Goddess of Democracy" that stood in Tiananmen Square was crushed down by the tanks of the Communist regime. 27 years later today, the same "Goddess of Democracy" is standing in front of the United States Capitol.

The democracy activists who held the Exhibition of the National Terrorist Atrocities Conducted by the Chinese Communist Regime have toured more than one dozen US cities, where they also exhibited the "Goddess of Democracy" statue by artist Chen Weiming.

The initiator and organizer Chen Weiming said: "Our Exhibition of the National Terrorist Atrocities Conducted by the Chinese Communist Regime wants to show clearly to the whole world the conduct and all the crimes of anti-humanity by the Chinese Communist Party since its founding."

On the lawn in front of the US Capitol, they displayed the pictures of the June 4th Massacre by the Communist regime, and the pictures of jailed democracy activists and rights defenders to passing visitors.

Zhang Qing, the wife of Chinese human rights lawyer Guo Feixiong, spoke about Guo's current situation in the Communist prison. She said that in order to resist the ravages of Communist persecution, Guo Feixiong was forced to have a hunger strike and is now in critical condition.

She said: "It can use its law as a weapon to put you in jail, and then use the prison to destroy your body. It also uses the prison to destroy your dignity and personality."

Chen Weiming said: "now the communist regime uses all its force against these young and old petitioners who defend their rights, instead of against aggressors to the country."

Sun Yan, a dissident from Beijing was also a witness of the June 4th Massacre. During the Cultural Revolution, his father was wrongfully jailed for 11 years, while his mother was paraded through the streets in humiliation and was beaten. This experience of persecution made him to recognize the evil nature of the Communist regime long ago.

The Democracy Wall veteran and witnesses of the June 4th Massacre Sun Yan said: "If this evil Communist Party does not quit the stage of history, then the Cultural Revolution still continues in China."

Another participant, the former professor of the Peking University Xia Yeliang, pointed out that since the Communist Party took over power, there have been more than one hundred million Chinese persecuted to death, yet the Communist regime always tried to cover up their sins.

Xia Yeliang, now a visiting fellow at the US think tank Cato Institute: "So every one of us Chinese people have a responsibility to record the historical reality of these evils, to record every detail of these atrocities. As people who experienced them, we should tell the future generations of all these atrocities."
