Release: Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition to Hold Its 14th Congress in
Washington, DC, USA from July 27 to 29, 2017
From
July 27 to 29, 2017, the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition will hold its
14th Congress in Washington, DC, USA.
In the afternoon of Thursday, July 27, from 1pm to 3pm, Wei Jingsheng
will start an opening ceremony in the US Congress Rayburn Office Building room
#2103. The opening ceremony is
open to the news media and general public.
Founded
in 1998, the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition (OCDC) has been able to
contribute greatly to the rights defending and democracy movement inside China,
as well as win the respect and support from human rights and democratic
organizations and people all over the world.
In
the past almost two decades, the OCDC had held its congresses in
Niagara-on-the-Lake in Canada, New York in the USA, Bonn in Germany, Washington
DC in the USA, Galliard in France, Ferney-Voltaire in France, Geneva in
Switzerland, Annemasse in France, Frankfurt in Germany, Orlando in Florida,
Williamsburg in Virginia, Nashville in Tennessee, etc.
This
is a grand gathering of Chinese democracy leaders from the world. For this 14th congress, there are
delegates from different countries in Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao,
and varies cities in the USA.
During
the conference, there will be discussion of Xi Jinping's leadership in China
and the 19th Congress of the Chinese Communist Party in China in the upcoming
autumn, as well as other latest news and analysis about China and its
relationship with rest of the world and a discussion and concerns of issues in
Hong Kong, Tibet and Taiwan, etc.

2017年7月27日至29日，中国民主运动海外联席会议将在美国首都华盛顿举行其第十四届大会。7月27日星期四下午1时至3时，魏京生将在美国国会众议院雷伯恩办公大楼2103号宣布大会的开幕。大会在其开幕式期间对新闻媒体和公众开放。
中国民主运动海外联席会议成立于1998年。成立后，它大力促进中国境内的维权和民主运动，得到了争取和支持人权与民主的组织及人民的尊重与支持。
近二十年来，中国民主运动海外联席会议在加拿大的湖滨尼亚加拉、美国纽约市、德国的波恩、美国首都华盛顿、法国加利亚，法国的费内-伏尔泰、瑞士的日内瓦、法国的阿讷马斯、以及美国佛罗里达州的奥兰多、弗吉尼亚州的威廉斯堡，和田纳西州的纳什维尔都召开过大会。
