Wei Jingsheng and Others Meet With Senator Ted Cruz

On the morning of February 6, Mr. Wei Jingsheng, and Ms. Huang Ciping, Executive Director of the Wei Jingsheng Foundation, together with Ms. Dimon Liu, project director of the Foundation, went to the office of Senator Ted Cruz to meet with the Senator and his assistants.

Both sides exchanged views on international affairs of common concern, with an in-depth discussion of the increasing religious repression and human rights abuses in recent years in China. Both sides think it is necessary to do something meaningful for the oppressed religious members and believers in China.

The hour-long meeting was enthusiastic and full of warmth. Senator Cruz mentioned that his father was also a political prisoner in a Communist prison, and expressed his desire to work for human rights.

魏京生等会见美国国会参议员泰德·克魯茲等

二月六日上午，魏京生先生和魏京生基金会执行主任黄慈萍女士，以及基金会项目主任廖大文女士，前往美国国会参议员泰德·克魯茲的办公室，会见了克魯茲参议员和他的助手。

双方就共同关心的国际事务交流了看法；并就中国近年来愈演愈烈的宗教压迫以及人权问题，进行了深入的讨论。双方认为有必要为被压迫的宗教人士做一些有意义的事情。

会见的一个小时充满了热情和热烈的气氛。克魯茲参议员提到他的父亲也是共产党监狱的政治犯，为人权而工作是他的理想。
