Xi
Jinping Says "A Tooth For a Tooth" for the China-US Trade War
--
Wei Jingsheng
Facing
Trump's trade war, Xi Jinping said that he would return with "a tooth for
a tooth". Immediately there
were netizen writers laughing: What tooth do you have for someone else's
teeth? This is really a big
truth. Not only the Internet
writers, but also the experts and scholars who understand things are laughing
at him secretly: what ability do you have, besides barking like a puppy to
scare people?
It
is said that there is some senior advisor who gave Xi a rotten idea, which is
called "punishment in quality".
If we look at that quality, which can not even protect China's ZTE
Corperation, then one cannot tell what measure of "punishment in quality"
it could be. Most media speculate
that they could be American companies that set up factories in China. So when these words came out, the stock
prices of those companies fell off miserably on the US stock market. How could this be called
"punishment in quality"?
It is really punishing themselves to scare the others, as we often
described the hooligans in Tianjin who would try to scare others by chewing on
the characoal balls heated into red and bright colors.
Who
would be afraid of such punishment?
It punishes the foreign companies that have invested in China in the
past 20 years to help China develop rapidly. What are the results at the end? It spelled out that those who help the Communist regime will
be in misery; thus in the future no one will dare to help the Communist regime
for the purpose of earning the money that lacks a conscience. The part of these companies in the USA
will also be affected, and thus will really resent the Communist regime. So it would not be easy for Wang Qishan
trying to rope in these so-called old friends in the US business circle.
There
are people inside China who do understand the situation. Most of the people who know
international trade know two basic common senses. One is that China has developed rapidly over the past
decades, relying on taking advantage of the United States. The other is that one should not have a
trade war with the USA due to the current level of development in China, as it
will for sure be defeated. When
one has developed by taking advantage of the others, one lacks emboldment. It is reasonable for the others who do
not want to let you continue to take advantage of them. In reality for any reason there is no
need to fight this trade war. Why
does Xi Jinping have to do so?
Some
friends attribute this to his character of grandiosity. Some friends said that he lost the
sense of himself as an emperor. So
does that mean that his friends and close ministers are giving stinking advices
and taking stupid actions? Some
other friends said that Xi is like many of the last emperors who would only
listened to the words of pleasure, but not the good advice which may sound
harsh. This is the result from the
elimination of freedom of speech.
Let us check out those who surround him and are making suggestions that
Xi Jinping would accept. They
include Cai Qi and Wang Huning, who are either surprisingly stupid, or
impressively cunning, as a veteran who has made it through three dynasties.
Then
why does Xi Jinping still want to fight this trade war with all his
emboldment? In addition to him
listening to the flattery of idiots and cunningmen, he has the psychology of a
gambler. He feels that Donald Trump's
past approach was to threaten first and then compromise, so this time Trump
will follow suit. When Trump
compromises, Xi would implement a plan to slow down and drag this old guy to
his death.
Plus,
Xi thought that by not buying American agricultural products, Trump would lose
his votes in the agricultural states, which would force him to compromise. This idea is really a stupid thought
from the brain of a pig. What is
the population in these so-called agricultural states? The vast majority there are still
industrial workers who had lost their jobs in the past two decades. Even if Xi's plan went on successfully,
the elected Democratic Party members will still effectively be in support of
Trump by taking back the jobs that were lost. It is now both political parties in the USA supporting the
trade war -- who does not support it will have to step down. That is why this idea really is a
stupid one which came from some advisors with the brains of the pigs.
What
happens to China if Xi Jinping loses his gamble? Experts and scholars both inside China and abroad generally
believe that as China is approaching an economic crisis now, a trade war means
economic collapse in China and the collapse of the Communist Party. I would not pity Xi Jinping at
all. But I feel pity to most of
the Chinese who already have a tough life to live on.
Some
friends have asked me how to solve this problem; I don't know. Anyway, as Xi Jinping keeps gambling,
China will not be able to strike back at the next wave of strikes from the USA. When Xi turns back to compromise, he
will have to pay an even a higher price, with the ultimate goal of reforming
China's legal system and returning to the normal trade rules. If Xi Jinping will not be overthrown by
an internal coup, the Communist Party will be overthrown by the uprising of the
Chinese people. In either way, Xi
Jinping will not be able to find a burial place when he died.
The
difference between the two consequences is that the Chinese people will suffer
more, or suffer less. However, if
the Communist leadership does not fall in China, the Chinese people will have
to endure even more suffering.
