The
Statement of the 15th Conference of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition
From
December 8th to 10th, 2018, the 15th conference of the Overseas Chinese
Democracy Coalition was held in Washington, DC. Representatives from the Americas, Europe, Australia and
Asia (Japan, Taiwan) attended the conference. After three days of discussion, representatives unanimously
reached the following consensus:
1.
With the ongoing Sino-US trade war, a cliff-drop kind of crisis of China's
financial economy maybe eventually be triggered. This is a good opportunity for us to promote democratic
constitutional government in China.
We should unite together to support the continuing of this policy of the
Trump administration and force a change of political system in China.
2.
Everyone agrees that the creation of a professional media platform for the
Chinese democracy movement is very important for the Mainland Chinese to
understand the real situation at home and abroad; and it is also very important
for pressuring the Western governments and to make major changes in China.
3.
Taiwanese friends suggested setting up a World Freedom and Democracy Coalition,
which received unanimous support from all the representatives. They expect the government of the
Republic of China to take initiatives to more actively participate in promoting
the democratization of the Mainland China.
4.
All the participants agreed that the unity of the Chinese democracy movement at
this stage is very important, and only by working together can it achieve the
best results. However, the
sabotage activities of the Communist regime will not stop, but will become even
more aggressive -- including assassinations, provocations, and
disintegration. Everyone should be
vigilant and strengthen cooperation with relevant Western departments, and
crack down on the destructive activities of the Communist agents.
5.
Democratization of China depends on the joint efforts of people from all walks
of life both inside of China and abroad to promote rights defending in China,
including military and police rights defending, workers' rights defending,
citizens' rights defending, peasants' rights defending, teachers' rights
defending, middle-class rights defending, entrepreneurs' rights defending,
religious rights defending and cultural rights defending, etc. These are all-important components of
rebellion against tyranny and are all united fronts of solidarity and mutual
assistance that overthrow the autocracy.
6.
As the Communist leadership leans backwards into the past, its internal fights
have also entered a stage of a struggle of life and death. We especially encourage the officials
within the Communist leadership who advocate reform to play their important
role. We will also cooperate and
help you overseas to promote the progress in China, as well as to further
comprehensive reforms and democratic rule of law in the future.
Finally,
the conference also discussed various specific and detailed matters.
Everyone
agrees that now is the key moment for us to actively promote democratization in
China. We sincerely hope that
Chinese compatriots at home and abroad, including friends from various ethnic
groups, various faith and cultural groups, to join our camp and form a
progressive and united democratic front, to work together for the
democratization of China and the protection of everyone's rights and interests.

第十五届中国民主运动海外联席会议声明
2018年12月8日至10日，在美国首都华盛顿召开中国民主运动海外联席会议第十五届会议，参加联席会议的有来是美洲、欧洲、澳洲和亚洲(日本、台湾)的各地中坚代表，经过三天讨论，一致达成如下共识：
一：在此次中美贸易战背景之下，中国金融经济的断崖式危机最终可能触发，这是我们推进中国民主法治宪政的一个良好机会，大家应该一致联合起来，团结起来，支持川普政府政策持续下去，倒逼中国政治制度有所改变。
二：大家一致认为，创建一个中国民运的专业媒体平台，对于大陆人民了解国内外真实情势非常重要；对于推动西方政府和中国的大变局也非常重要。
三：台湾朋友建议要成立一个世界自由民主联盟，获得大家一致支持，并期望中华民国政府更加积极主动参与推进大陆民主化。
四：大家一致认为，现阶段中国民运的团结非常重要，只有群策群力才能达到最佳效果。但是中共的破坏活动不会停止，反而会更加疯狂，包括暗杀、挑拨离间、分化瓦解等，大家要提高警惕，加强与西方有关部门合作，打击中共特务的破坏活动。
五：中国的民主化有赖于海内外各界同人共同努力，特别是国内各大维权领域的维权抗争，包括军警维权、工人维权、市民维权、农民维权、教师维权、中产维权，企业家维权，宗教维权及文化维权等等，都是反抗暴政的重要组成部分，都是推翻专制的团结互助统一战线。
六：左倾倒车之下，中共党内也进入了你死我活的斗争阶段。我们特别鼓励中共党内主张改革的官员积极发挥自己的重大作用，我们也会在海外配合和帮助你们来推动中国的进步，以及未来的进一步全面改革和民主法治。
最后，会议还讨论了各种具体细致的事宜。
大家一致认为，现在正是我们积极推动中国民主化的关键时刻，衷心希望国内外的中国同胞，包括各个民族各个信仰文化团体的朋友们，都加入到我们的阵营中来，形成团结协作的民主进步统一战线，一起为中国的民主化以及每个人的权益保障而共同努力。
