Wei Jingsheng Meets with Senator Chuck Grassley, President Pro Tempore of the US Senate

In the afternoon on January 16, 2019, Mr. WEI Jingsheng and his assistant, Ms. HUANG Ciping, visited the most senior Republican Senator and President pro tempore of the United States Senate for the 116th United States Congress, Chuck Grassley, and his assistant Mr. James Rice.

The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on trade and human rights issues and reached a number of consensuses. Mr. Wei learned more about the views of the US political circles on human rights and trade issues. The senator also gained his understanding of the Chinese issue through the description of Mr. Wei. Both sides believe that urging the Chinese government to respect China's laws is the key to resolving Sino-US trade and human rights issues, and are full of confidence in improving China's human rights and trade conditions under new concepts and policies.

2019年1月16日下午，魏京生先生和他的助手黄慈萍女士拜访了美国参议院临时议长、共和党籍最资深的参议员查尔斯·葛雷斯利（Chuck Grassley）先生和他的助手詹姆斯·瑞斯（James Rice）先生。
