Wei
Jingsheng Foundation Distributes T-shirts and Other Activities in Commemoration
of the 30th Anniversary of the June 4 Massacre
On
February 24, 2019, Mr. Wei Jingsheng and the Wei Jingsheng Foundation joined
other organizations unveiling the 8.9 meter high 6.4 sculpture to observe the
100 day countdown of the 30th anniversary of the June 4 Massacre in California. A lot of others things have been
prepared and are happening in regarding this year's 30th anniversary of the
June 4 commemoration worldwide.
One
of the things that the Wei Jingsheng Foundation is doing now, in time to be
used on June 4, 2019 are this year's T-shirts it designed with contributions by
volunteers. Hundreds of T-shirts
have arrived and are on their way to various locations around the world,
including cities on the East Coast and West Coast of the USA, Europe, Asia, and
Australia. We still have hundreds
of them and will be glad to ship 10 of them to any location we have not
covered. For those leaders of the
groups and activities observing the June 4 Massacre, please inform the Wei
Jingsheng Foundation to get the size and number of the T-shirts you want.
As
the 30th anniversary is right at the crossroads that China is facing now, we
encourage more people and groups stand out to support freedom and democracy in
China. The Wei Jingsheng
Foundation and Mr. Wei Jingsheng have received multiple requests to participate
and contribute to this year's June 4 commemorations. Our schedule is virtually full, but we will try our best to
meet friends' requests in some ways.
We
ask friends and supporters to join as many activities as possible, including
the two activities that the Wei Jingsheng Foundation is specifically involved
in the Washington DC area. One is
the annual candle light vigil on Saturday June 1, 2019 from 6pm to 9:30pm, in
front of the Chinese embassy in Washington DC, hosted by the Independent
Federation of the Chinese Students and Scholars (IFCSS), and co-sponsored by
the Wei Jingsheng Foundation and other democracy organizations. The other is a whole day art and photo
exhibition of the 1989 Democracy Movement in China, on Tuesday June 4, 2019 in
the US Congress at Rayburn Building's foyer. This event is supported by members of the Congress and
co-sponsored by the European Parliament and many human rights
organizations. The event will be
highlighted with a ceremony, speeches, followed by a reception, etc.

有关魏京生基金会分发的六四大屠杀30周年的纪念衫及其它六四纪念活动的通知
2019年2月24日，魏京生先生及魏京生基金会在加利福尼亚与其它组织一同为8.9米高的64雕塑揭幕。此外，还有更多的打算参加及筹划组织有关六四大屠杀30周年纪念活动。
魏京生基金会现在正在做的事情之一，便是将今年设计的由自愿者们贡献的六四30周年纪念衫在2019年6月4日前寄达使用。目前数以百计的纪念衫正在甚至已经抵达有联席会议成员的世界各地，包括美国的东西海岸，欧洲各国，亚洲及澳大利亚。我们仍然有数百件，并且很乐意将其中的不超过10件送到我们忽略或未覆盖的地区。准备组织并参加六四大屠杀纪念的团体或领导者，请尽快通知魏京生基金会，告知你们需要六四衫的尺寸大小和数量，及其它邮寄信息。
