Two
events observing the 30th anniversary of the June 4 1989 Massacre in Beijing
are scheduled in early June in Washington DC, USA. We are inviting more organizations to cosponsor them, as
well as to participate.
As
it has been doing every year in the past 30 years, the IFCSS (Independent
Federation of the Chinese Students and Scholars, USA) will host the annual
memorial of the June 4 Massacre again this year in front of the Chinese embassy
(address: 3505 International Pl NW, Washington, DC 20008, USA). The candlelight vigil will start on
Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 6:30pm, and run until 9:30pm. This event is cosponsored by the Wei Jingsheng
Foundation, the Chinese Democracy Party, etc. According to the IFCSS council meeting on May 11, 2019,
IFCSS council members Lu Wenhe, Qin Weiping, Chen Chuangchuang, Huang Ciping
will be in charge of the event, at which time they will release the latest
message from the Tiananmen Mothers, and announce the awardee of the 2019
"Spirit of Freedom" award.
On
Tuesday, June 4, 2019, the Wei Jingsheng Foundation, the European Parliament
Office in Washington DC, etc will hold a special photo & art show
commemorating the 1989 Democracy Movement in China that was terminated by the
June 4 Massacre in Beijing, inside of the US Congress at the Rayburn foyer
(address: 45 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, DC 20003). The speech session will be from 2:30pm
to 4:30pm on June 4, 2019, with a reception.
This
event will be hosted by Countess Felizitas von Schonborn, a board member of the
Wei Jingsheng Foundation. Speakers
at the event include Congressional members and:
Wei Jingsheng, chair of the Overseas
Chinese Democracy Coalition;
Antoine Ripoll, director of the European
Parliament Office in Washington DC
Wang Dan, student leader in 1989, founder
of Dialogue China
Wang Juntao, chair of the National
Committee of the Chinese Democracy Party
Etc.
We
would like to invite all to attend the events in support of the Chinese who are
longing for democracy and freedom, and in commemoration of the victims and
heroes in the 1989 democracy movement in China. We welcome more organizations to co-sponsor this event and
encourage their members to attend the event as well.

from Germany.

正如过去30年来每年必做的那样,全美学自联(全美中国学生学者自治联合会)将在中国驻美大使馆前再次举办一年一度的六四大屠杀烛光纪念活动(地址:3505
International Pl NW,Washington,DC 20008,USA)。烛光纪念会将于2019年6月1日周六下午6:30开始,直至晚上9点半。此次活动由魏京生基金会,中国民主党等协办。2019年5月11日的全美学自联理事会会议责成理事会成员陆文禾、秦伟平、陈闯创、黄慈萍具体负责此活动。纪念会上将发布天安门母亲的最新消息,并宣布2019年“自由精神奖”的获奖者。
2019年6月4日周二,魏京生基金会、欧洲议会华盛顿办公室、对话中国、中国民主党、全美学自联等将举办纪念被六四屠杀所终结的1989民主运动的特别照片及艺术展。地点是:美国国会众议院雷伯恩办公大楼的大堂(Rayburn's
