Military Parade in China on October 1
On
October 4, 2019, Mr. WEI Jingsheng, Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Democracy
Coalition, participated in the "China Live" program hosted by Radio
Free Asia's He Ping on the topics: Red Horror and Mask Ban, What Will Happen in
Hong Kong and the Military Parade in China on October 1. Guests who also participated in the
interview were Ms. Gloria Fung, President of Hong Kong Association in Canada,
and Mr. Li Weidong, President of China Strategic Analysis Magazine. The following is an introduction of the
program by Radio Free Asia.
This
week, the Chinese Communist Party celebrated the 70th year anniversary of
establishing its regime, but conflict regarding "Against Extradition to
China" in Hong Kong continued to escalate. Among the flames of war, the police shot people at close
range, and the law banning wearing masks in the protest by citizens is about to
be implemented. An emergency
curfew is also about to be declared.
As Hong Kong falls into the red terror, what fate will the peaceful,
rational and non-violent struggle model face? Does it need a strategic adjustment? Are the demands of democracy and the
rule of law ultimately related to Mainland Chinese? At the same time, what information did Xi Jinping's
unprecedented military exercise in Beijing display, whether by ideological
rendering or the showcasing of weapons and military equipment? This program is to explore these
topics.
