Interviews of Wei Jingsheng on August 21, 2020

Former professor of the Central Party School of the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) Cai Xia was criticized by the CCP for her brave testimony. Wei Jingsheng said that she expressed the
long-established consensus on behalf of many red second generation Communist
officials. Cai Xia called on the CCP to
embark on the path of political reforms, to get rid of the "political
zombie" shell.
VOA Window on the World interviewed Wei Jingsheng on this topic. Wei Jingsheng pointed out that everyone has
been disgusted with Xi Jinping for a long time, and Ms. Cai Xia said what they
wanted to say on behalf of everyone. But
inside China people can't voice their opinions, otherwise they will end up like
Ren Zhiqiang and be persecuted. Wei
Jingsheng pointed out that since the founding of the Communist Party, the CCP
has been half communist dictatorship and half underworld mafia. It is not exactly the same as the former
Soviet Union, and many of CCP practices are similar to those of gangsters. After Xi Jinping came to power, this kind of
mafia practice intensified.
Regarding the recent deterioration of Sino-US relations, Wei Jingsheng
pointed out that it was not only because Xi Jinping changed the practice of
keeping a low profile with the sword hidden employed in Deng Xiaoping Era, but
also because it caused the West to suffer a big loss. Especially Xi Jinping's wolf warrior
diplomacy has greatly stimulated the international community negatively. In these circumstances, the establishment of
the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China was to coordinate the positions of
various countries. This coordination
will have a major impact in the future.
Wei Jingsheng believes that it is because of long-term observation and
thinking that Cai Xia is so bold. The
CCP’s torture and persecution, and deprivation of
freedom of speech, have also made many people scared, and they suddenly woke
up. Wei Jingsheng criticized some
people's "anti-Xi Jinping, but not anti-Communist Party" notion,
although it is everyone's consensus that Xi Jinping should step down.

前中央党校教授蔡霞因感言受到中共口诛笔伐，魏京生称她代表很多红二代说出了早有的共识。蔡霞呼吁中共走上政治改革的道路，才能蜕去“政治僵尸”的外壳。
美国之音时事经纬就此采访了魏京生。魏京生指出大家对习近平厌恶已久，蔡霞女士代表大家说出了想说的话。但在国内却发不出声，否则就会像任志强一样的下场。魏京生指出中共自建党以来就是一半共产专制、一半黑社会老大，与苏共还不完全一样，很多做法与黑帮的做法相像。习近平上台后这种黑帮老大的做法加强了。
就最近中美关系的恶化，魏京生指出不仅是因为习近平一改邓小平时期的韬光养晦的做法，而且让西方吃了大亏，尤其是习近平的战狼外交，极大地刺激了国际社会。在这种情况下，成立了对华政策跨国议会联盟，协调各国立场，对今后有重大影响。
魏京生认为像蔡霞这样敢言，也是因为长期的观察与思考。中共的酷刑与迫害，剥夺言论自由，也使得许多人心有余悸，因而突然猛醒。魏京生批评了一些人“反习不反党”的观念与说法，虽然习近平应当下台是大家的共识。
