On November 6, 2020, the
Voice of America Window on the World program broadcast its interview with Mr.
Wei Jingsheng on the US election.
Regarding the Chinese
Communist Party (CCP) attacking the democratic system while the result of the
US election is pending, especially as the CCP claims that democracy is not
suitable for the Chinese people, Wei Jingsheng pointed out that the example of
Taiwan shows that the Chinese are very suited to democracy. The Chinese have the ability to engage in
democracy and democracy does not mean chaos.
American democracy exactly shows that everyone can express their
opinions, and every voter has the right to choose a leader. Whether the result they choose is good or
bad, it is up to all voters to bear the consequences. This is the most important point of
democracy. The conflicts in this US
election are related to the current division of American society and are also
affected by the intervention of various countries, especially with China. That is because the outcome will affect whether
or not Trump's policy continued or there will be a return to the previous
policy, which has made Chinese people very concerned.
Wei Jingsheng also
pointed out that although there is some chaos, it does not mean that the
American democratic system has collapsed.
There are differences of opinion, but the final decision will be made by
voting. This is completely different
from the situation in China where one leader decides and manages 1.4 billion
people. Recently, politicians from both
political parties in the United States have pointed out that China’s dictatorship is the most unstable, and the voices of the
Chinese are suppressed and cannot be realized.
If the Chinese had an election like the one in the United States, they
would vote the Communist regime out, so the Communist Party definitely will not
allow it. Then there will be real chaos
in China.
Wei Jingsheng pointed
out that the American democratic system has been continuously improving for
more than two hundred years. This
evolution is correct and there will be no end to the changes. It does not mean that the American democratic
system has collapsed. The American
democratic system has a good correction function. If the voters choose the wrong one this time,
they can change it after 4 years. If it
was too wrong, they can even mobilize an impeachment. These limits are the best guarantee for the
interests of the people and the country.
In comparison, the CCP’s system has no
guarantees and everyone has become a machine to raise their hands. This situation is the most dangerous to the
country and the people.
Wei Jingsheng said that
the persecution of human rights by the CCP is obvious to all. Politicians in both political parties in the
United States have consensus. Therefore,
some related policies will be continued, although their domestic policies will
be different.

2020年11月6日，美国之音时事经纬节目播出其就美国大选对魏京生先生的专访。
就中共借美国大选悬而未决之时攻击民主制度，尤其是声称民主不宜于中国人之时，魏京生指出，台湾的例子说明中国人很适于民主。中国人有能力搞民主，搞民主也不会就乱了。美国的民主正说明了大家都可以发表意见，每个选民都有选择领导人的权力。选择的结果是好还是坏，则由全体选民来承担后果。这就是民主的最重要点。这次美国大选的争议，与美国社会目前的分裂有关，也受各国的干预影响。尤其是与中国有关，因为这会影响到是继续川普的政策，还是回到旧的政策，中国人很关注。
魏京生还指出，尽管有些混乱，但并不说明美国的民主制度就崩溃了。尽管大家意见有分歧，最终还是选票来决定，这和中国一个人决定，管着14亿人的情况完全不同。最近美国两党的政治家都指出，中国的独裁体制才是最不稳固的，老百姓的声音被压制，得不到伸张。如果真的像美国这样来次选举，那老百姓就会把共产党选下去，共产党肯定不干，那天下就真的大乱了。
魏京生指出，两百多年来，美国的民主制度一直在不断地改善，这是正确的，不会有尽头，更不说明美国的民主制度垮了。美国的民主制度有很好的纠错功能。如果这次选错了，4年后还可以换，如果太错了，甚至可以动员弹劾功能。这对老百姓的利益，对国家的利益是最好的保障。而中共的制度却没有保障，大家都成了举手机器。这种情况对国家，对人民都是最危险的。
魏京生认为，有关中共的人权迫害有目共睹，就中共言行美国两党都有共识，因此一些相关政策会继续持续下去，尽管国内政策会有所不同。
