The Voice of America Window on the World and VOA Connect Programs Broadcast VOA Interview with Wei Jingsheng: The CCP’s Control of Various International Organizations Has Reached a Very Serious Degree

On November 24, 2021, the Voice of America Window on the World and VOA Connect programs broadcast its host Zhiyuan’s interview with Wei Jingsheng. The following is a brief introduction.

The 89th INTERPOL General Assembly opened in Istanbul, Turkey on November 23. An important agenda of this three-day conference was the election of members of the Executive Committee that supervises and handles the daily affairs of INTERPOL and the new chairman of the organization. The focus of attention was on Hu Binchen, a deputy general of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security of China, and first-level inspector who is competing to enter the Interpol Executive Committee and the election of Major General Ahmed Naser al-Raisi, Inspector General of the UAE Ministry of Interior for the post of the Interpol President.

Regarding the concern about Interpol giving the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) an abusive green light so that it can also carry out human rights persecution overseas, Wei Jingsheng said in the interview: This is indeed a fact. Especially since Meng Hongwei (of China) became the Interpol President, the organization has become a tool for the CCP to suppress the people in order to expand its control over the world. In fact, the CCP will not let go of any international organization that it can take advantage of. Its control of various international organizations has reached a very serious level.

Wei Jingsheng pointed out that in fact, Interpol has had several presidents in its history who were the chief of the Gestapo, controlled by the Nazis, and hunted down dissidents and Jews all over the world. When an important member of Interpol comes from an authoritarian government, he becomes a hand of that authoritarian government to control its dissidents. The unity of these authoritarian countries in the world poses a threat to dissidents all over the world, so we firmly oppose this.

Regarding the recent interview of Grace Meng, wife of Meng Hongwei, who criticized the Chinese Communist regime, Wei Jingsheng pointed out: When the Interpol President (such as Meng Hongwei) gone missing when he returned to China, yet this organization could do nothing and could not even protect its own President and officials, showed that the Interpol cannot even guarantee the personal freedom of its officials who do not really have their own personal freedom. Rather these officials must implement the political decision of their authoritarian governments, which is bound to be related to politics and of course is an interference in the original intention of Interpol.

Regarding the Peng Shuai and Zhang Gaoli sex scandal, which is currently raging around the world, Wei Jingsheng pointed out that this incident, especially the CCP’s control of Peng Shuai, illustrates the CCP’s control of international organizations, including the International Olympic Committee. The current human rights violation of Zhang Zhan further illustrates the horrible degree of human rights in China.

2021年11月24日，美国之音VOA连线及时事经纬节目播出了其主持致远对魏京生的采访。以下为内容简介。

国际刑警组织第89届大会11月23日在土耳其伊斯坦布尔开幕，这次历时3天的会议的一项重要日程就是选举监督和处理国际刑警组织日常事务的执行委员会委员以及该组织新一届主席。关注的焦点集中在中国公安部国际合作局副局长、一级督察胡彬郴角逐执委和阿联酋内政部监察长阿哈姆德∙纳瑟∙阿尔-莱希（Ahmed Naser al-Raisi）少将竞选主席一职。

就有关国际刑警组织给中共滥用开绿灯，使之能在海外也进行人权迫害的担忧，魏京生在采访中表示：这的确是事实。特别是自孟宏伟担任国际刑警组织主席后，该组织已成为中共打压的工具，以扩大其对全世界的控制。其实中共对有机可乘的任何国际组织都不会放过，对各种国际组织的控制已达到非常严重的程度。

魏京生指出，事实上，国际刑警组织在其历史上就曾有数届主席为盖世太保头目，被纳粹所控制，并在全世界范围追捕异议人士与犹太人。当国际刑警组织中的重要委员来自专制政府，他就成为专制政府的一只手，来控制其异议人士。全世界的这些专制国家联合起来，就对全世界的异议人士都构成威胁，因此我们对此坚决反对。

就最近孟宏伟的妻子高歌出面抨击中共之事，魏京生指出：国际刑警组织的主席能在回中国时被失踪，该组织还一点办法都没有，连自己的主席都没法保护，正说明这些官员及国际刑警组织一点保障都没有--这些官员没有其自身的人身自由，必须执行该专制政府的政治决定，就必然与政治有关，是对国际刑警组织原本意图的必然干扰。

有关目前在全球都炒得沸沸扬扬的彭帅与张高丽事件，魏京生指出此事尤其是中共对彭帅的控制正说明了中共对国际组织包括奥委会的控制。而张展的现况，更说明了中国人权之差。
