Huang Ciping's Speech at the Third Special Congress of the National Committee of the Democratic Party of China

Greetings to Chairman Wang Juntao, vice-Chair Chen Liqun and the backbone of the Democratic Party of China! Good morning friends!

First of all, I would like to congratulate the convening of the Third Special Congress of the National Committee of Democratic Party of China! I still remember that more than seven years ago, also on a cold winter day, I made a special trip to New York as a distinguished guest to attend and speak at the Second Special Congress of the National Committee of the Democratic Party of China. But now because of the spread of the CCP virus, I can’t gather together with you like in the past to meet new and old friends directly, but our enthusiasm for anti-communism and building a free and democratic system in China remains the same.

Over the past a few decades, we have gathered and parted, parted and gathered. After all, is not this the case all these times? I have known Juntao for nearly 40 years. I still remember when I first met him, shortly after the college elections in Beijing. Juntao was high-spirited, impassioned and eloquent, and he was surrounded by many people then, which is unforgettable even to this day. At that time, we were still young, and at that time, I was still proud of being “a child prodigy”, without fully realizing how hard the road that I had chosen would be, and how much heart and effort it would take to build this great freedom and democracy in China.

I remember that in 1989, driven by the wave of democracy, we officially kicked off the organizing of an opposition party overseas. Those of us who firmly believed that in order to overthrow the one-party dictatorship of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) we must establish an opposition party in preparation, so we organized the Chinese Liberty and Democracy Party together. In 1994, when Juntao was just released from prison and exiled to the United States, I took several days off from my busy work in my company and made a special trip to Chicago to find him. When he saw me, he called me "the Female Party Leader". At that time, my main purpose was to persuade him to lead a political party. . .

In the blink of an eye, 27 years have passed, and I can see that the National Committee of the Democratic Party of China is still vigorous under the leadership of colleagues such as Juntao. Shortly after the June 4 massacre in 1989, many people took part in protests and marches, but after that, many also quit the pro-democracy movement. What makes me very happy is that Juntao and other colleagues are still insisting to take action, while more young people have joined in. After decades of hard work by all of us, and also because of the increasingly perverted practices of the CCP including its wolf warrior diplomacy in the international arena, we have finally seen the international community wake up in the past few years and the Western world change its decades long appeasement policy implemented on China that benefitted interests taking advantage of the abuse of human rights in China.

I know that there are still many important items on the agenda of this conference, so I will not waste your time any more. I just want to express my support for Juntao, for the National Committee of the Democratic Party of China, and for all those who love democracy and freedom in China and have taken actions to realize it. Let us hold each other’s hands and work together!

It snowed last night and this morning was especially beautiful. I believe that the China that we all build with enthusiasm for democracy and freedom during this cold winter of the CCP will also be very beautiful. Thank you all!

黄慈萍在中国民主党全国委员会第三次特别大会上的讲话（2022年1月29日）

王军涛主席好，陈立群副主席及民主党各位骨干好！各位朋友早上好！

首先我祝贺中国民主党全国委员会第三次特别代表大会的召开！还记得七年多前，也是在一个寒冷的冬日，我作为贵宾专程赶赴纽约参加中国民主党全国委员会第二次特别大会并讲话。可如今因为中共病毒泛滥，我无法像过去那样聚集一堂，直接与新老朋友们见面，但我们反共并在中国建设自由民主制度的热情依旧。

这几十年来，聚了又散，散了又聚，一直以来又何尝不是如此呢？我与军涛认识，也已经将近40年了。我至今还记得刚认识他时，正是在北京高校选举后不久，他神采飞扬、慷慨激昂、滔滔不绝地演讲，每次周围都聚着许多人，至今让人难以忘怀。那时我们还年轻，那时候的我也以神童自居，还没有充分意识尤其是体会到要建成中国的自由民主大业，走上的是何其艰难困苦的道路，又要付出多少心血与努力。

记得1989年，在民主浪潮的推动下，海外组党正式拉开序幕。我们这些坚信要推翻中共一党专政，必须有反对党派才能成立的同仁们一起筹商参与组织了中国自由民主党。1994年，军涛刚被释放并流放美国，我从繁忙的工作中请了好几天假，专程去芝加哥找他，他见面就叫我“女党魁”。而当时我的主要目的就是游说他领衔组党。。。

转眼27年过去了，我看到民主党全委会在军涛等同仁的领导下依然轰轰烈烈。1989年六四屠杀后不久，许多人参加了抗议游行，但之后也有许多人退出了民运。让我很高兴的是，军涛等同仁还坚持着，而更多的年轻人也加入了进来。经过我们大家几十年的努力，也因为中共越演越烈的倒行逆施包括其在国际上的战狼外交，这两年我们终于看到国际社会醒悟了过来，改变了西方世界几十年来借压迫中国人权得利而实行的绥靖政策。

我知道，这次会议议程还有许多重要内容，我就不再多耽误大家的时间了。我只想在此表达对军涛的支持，对中国民主党全委会的支持，对所有热爱中国民主自由并身体力行的人们的支持。我们携手共进，一起努力！

昨晚下雪，今晨特别美丽。我相信，我们大家在这寒冷的日子里，带着对中国民主自由的热情建立起来的中国，也将是非常美丽的。谢谢大家！
