Let Us Be United and Fighting Together Against the CCP

-- Speech at the Commemorative Conference Observing the 63rd Anniversary of the Tibetan Uprising Day

Today, dozens of Tibetans and Chinese gathered here to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of the Tibetans' resistance to violence by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). At the moment when Putin invaded Ukraine and killed innocent Ukrainian people, it also reminded me of the CCP's aggression in Tibet, its oppression of Tibetans, and especially the genocide of Tibetan culture and religion, etc.

I remember when I was young, some of my classmates were children of the Anhui Military Region of the CCP’s People’s Liberation Army. They told me about the "education" and "what they saw and heard" that the CCP troops received when they invaded Tibet, much of which I couldn't believe. Years later, after I really learned about Tibetans, especially their religion, culture, and history, I realized that what these classmates told me was propaganda by the CCP, which poisoned many Han Chinese, especially through the CCP's control over information and news. I was just one of those Han Chinese who couldn't get the truth.

Afterwards, I learned more about Tibetan history, as well as the recent 63 years of history as Tibetans’ continuously resisted the CCP. I have also been fortunate enough to meet His Holiness the Dalai Lama many times and listen to his tireless teachings, especially his desire and efforts to promote Sino-Tibetan friendship. His holiness’ "Middle-Way Approach" is an optimal choice made with the greatest goodwill and sincerity. However, even so, the bloodthirsty CCP has not given goodwill in return -- the CCP's persecution has caused generations of Tibetans to leave their homeland and go into exile. One after another, Tibetans were forced to resist and even engage in self-immolation! On February 25, 2022, a well-known Tibetan singer, Tsewang Norbu, self-immolated in front of the Potala Palace in Tibet’s capital Lhasa to become the 158th Tibetan to set himself on fire since 2009. However, in the face of such a tragic struggle, the CCP used its high-tech means to block and obliterate the information not just in the Chinese society but also on the Internet. But once people know the truth, can the CCP really block people's conscience and sympathy?

I think that the event we are holding today is a good opportunity for Sino-Tibetan exchange and understanding. I participate in such an activity not only to express a Han Chinese's sympathy and understanding for Tibetans, but also in the hope to exchanges and enhance friendship with Tibetans. Only when Han Chinese and Tibetans are united and resist the CCP together, can we resist the CCP’s persecution and embrace a bright future together.

Let us be united and fighting together against the CCP!

今天，我们几十个藏汉人民聚集在一切纪念藏人抗暴63周年。正处于普金侵略乌克兰、残害无辜的乌克兰人民的时刻，这也让我联想到中共对西藏的侵略，对藏人的压迫，尤其是对藏文化与宗教所进行的种族灭绝。

记得我还小的时候，我的一些同学是安徽省军区的子女。他们给我讲中共的军队入藏所受的“教育”及“所见所闻”，许多让我难以置信。多年以后，在真正地了解了藏人尤其是其宗教、文化与历史之后，我意识到他们所述是中共的宣传，这宣传毒害了许多的汉人，尤其是因为中共对信息与新闻的掌控而无法了解真相的汉人，我不过是其中的一个。

之后，我了解到更多藏史，以及63年来藏人前赴后继、持续不断地抵抗中共的近代史。我也有幸多次拜见了达赖喇嘛尊者，并聆听他孜孜不倦的教导，尤其是推动汉藏友好的愿望与努力。他老人家的“中间道路”是本着最大的善意和诚意所进行的最优化选择。然而，即便如此，嗜血成性的中共也没有给予善意的回报—中共的迫害造成一代又一代的藏人流亡，无家可归，一个又一个的藏人被迫反抗，甚至自焚！2022年2月25日，知名藏族歌手才旺羅布於拉薩布达拉宫外自焚，成為自2009年起第158位自焚的藏人。然而面对这样惨烈的抗争真相，中共不仅仅在社会上，也在互联网上以其高技术手段进行了封网与抹杀。但人们一旦了解真相，中共还能封锁人们的良心与同情吗？

我觉得，今天这样一个活动，是汉藏之间得以交流并加以理解的良机。我参加这样一个活动，不仅仅是要表达一个汉人对藏人的同情与理解，也是为了能进行一些交流，增进与藏人的友谊。汉藏只有团结一致，共同反抗中共，才足以抵抗中共的迫害，共同迎接光明的未来。

让我们团结一致，共同反抗中共！
