Why Xi Jinping Is Determined to Carry-out Zero-Covid Policy?
-- Wei Jingsheng
Xi Jinping's zero-Covid clearing policy has caused anger and
resentment. There is more news from
Shanghai that has been characterized by the Shanghaies as their patience has
reached the limit. In fact, there are
reports from all over China that people are unable to live. But why does Xi Jinping have to stick to his
zero-Covid clearing policy? This puzzled
many people. There are all kinds of
speculations, most of which are that he wants to show his authority and pave
the way for his success during the 20th National Congress of the Chinese
Communist Party (CCP). This speculation
does make sense. Xi is a dictator, and
it is not normal if he does not show his authority. The life and death of the common Chinese are
not so important to him, and even the fate of the CCP regime is not important
enough, only his own power is the most important.
But this kind of rational reasoning is not enough to explain his crazy
zero-Covid clearing policy. A lunatic is
not necessarily really mentally ill. For
example, Hitler, Mao Zedong, etc. are lunatics according to the view of normal
people. But they are not mental
patients, but people with normal thinking logic. But why do they think like crazy people? This is because some basic elements of their
thinking are wrong and absurd. Logical
thinking with fallacious material or premises is bound to be wrong.
Since the introduction of a set of Western theories of the Communist
Party into China, especially since the introduction of the philosophy
represented by Marxism into China, the Chinese people's thinking has entered an
era of great chaos. Replacing common
sense with pseudoscience and logic with sophistry has become a fad. After several generations of CCP’s education,
the ideological confusion from ordinary Chinese to the so-called intellectual
elites can clearly be seen. Unreasonable
confusion is everywhere, and the self-defeating logic is not self-aware, and
even self-righteous, in the way people think that it refutes common sense and
logic.
This confusion of thinking reached its peak during the Cultural
Revolution. Due to the influence of
long-term propaganda and brainwashing, the aftermath has not weakened so
far. Comrade Xi Jinping grew up in that
era, and his basic ideas were also formed in that era: his mind was full of
pseudoscience and arrogance that “mankind will win over the nature”, as well as
being full of belief in violent and absurd thinkings. This is the ideological source of his insistence
on the absurd zero-Covid clearing policy today.
You can find out by analyzing Xi’s resume. When he was a teenager, he was a boy who was
suppressed due to his family. He rarely
participated in outside movement and lacked the ability to distinguish between
true and false. Most of his exposure was
to the various violent propagandas that were popular in that era, as well as
the pseudoscience of strange powers.
Those who are persecuted will develop in two directions: one is toward
dissatisfaction and then attempts to eliminate this unreasonable system; the
other is to surrender then worship violent oppression, and develop into a case
of Stockholm Syndrome. Xi Jinping is
probably the latter.
Xi was promoted to the CCP secretary-general of a brigade as an
“educated youth” in the countryside, which was not normal in itself. The CCP secretary-general's job is to
propagate the enslavement thought of believing in violence, and to enforce
oppression. This has formed his
autocratic character throughout his life: he is very flattering under
oppression, yet merciless when oppressing others, to the degree that he will
not have the normal sentiments to his relatives and friends. This is the typical tyrant without humanity
character which was popular during the Cultural Revolution.
It is worth noting that when he was the CCP secretary-general of the
brigade, Xi engaged in small activities such as biogas power generation. There is nothing wrong with this in itself. But when this ideological tendency to pursue
fashion without understanding got developed to the present, it become his
zero-Covid clearing policy with the determination that “mankind will win over
the nature”, and his crazy policy of closing coal mines regardless of economic
development, to the degree of not allowing ordinary Chinese to burn coal for
heating, and so on.
All kinds of absurd thinking of Xi Jinping have created his absurd
policies. That this absurdity can be
turned into reality is because a large number of people who were affected by
the Cultural Revolution have just as sick minds as Xi, who felt that Xi was
right, supported him and helped him.
Otherwise, it is impossible for Xi to turn these absurd ideas into truth
and carry them out.
For the last one hundred years, the Chinese have studied Western
culture. Both good and bad have come
into China. While the Chinese Communist
Party is in power, it uses various campaigns and monopoly propaganda to magnify
those absurd things and use them for brainwashing, which has caused confusion
in the minds of the Chinese people in the last 80 years. This is the ideological source of many of Xi
Jinping's absurd policies. In today's
China, it should be like what the early American sages said: restore common
sense and stay away from pseudoscience.
