Famous Chinese Democracy and human rights leaders WEI Jingsheng, WANG Dan, and WANG Juntao will hold a joint press conference in San Francisco, California, USA on November 11, 2023.

These three are a group that has long insisted on promoting China's democratic constitutional government and resisting the Chinese Communist Party's centralization and tyranny. Facing the chaos in China, especially the eleven years of Xi Jinping’s rule, we have a profound understanding: China needs opportunities and even more change!

We are developing a platform named “the Congress on China’s Directions". All like-minded people are welcome to participate, discuss China's domestic and foreign affairs, culture and morality, ethnicity and religion, etc., to gather together methods and paths to solve the problems, and put them into practice. We promote China to become a country with true constitutional government, democracy, and the rule of law in which the people are their own masters of the country.

The first “Congress on China’s Directions” will be held in Washington, DC, USA, in February 2024.

We will hold a press conference for the establishment of "Congress on China’s Directions" by the Moscone Convention Center which will hold the APEC 2023 in San Francisco, California, USA, as well. At that time, the "Announcement to Our Chinese People" drafted by us will be released. Two related documents also will be released at the same time: "Our Views on the Current Situation" and "Introduction to the Congress on China’s Directions". Afterwards, the three co-initiators will answer questions. In addition to the three co-initiators, the press conference also invited Chinese and foreign guests.

Congressman Mike Gallagher, chairman of the US House Select Committee on China, etc. will join us at the press conference.

After the press conference, a "Current Situation in China” Seminar will be held to discuss China's current situation and our actions.

The media and friends are welcome.

中国民主人权领袖魏京生、王丹、王军涛将于11月11日在美国加州旧金山举行联合新闻发布会。

这是一个长期坚持推动中国民主宪政，反抗共产党集权、暴政的群体。面对中国的乱局，尤其是习近平统治的十一年，我们深刻地认识到：中国需要机会，更需要改变！

为此，我们将创建一个平台，发起中国“国是会议”。邀请所有志同道合者参与，探讨中国的内政外交、文化与道德、民族与宗教等等问题，汇聚出解决问题的办法和路径，并身体力行之。推动中国成为一个真正的人民当家作主的宪政、民主和法治的国家。

第一届中国“国是会议”将于2024年2月在美国首都华盛顿举行。

借此次APEC年会之际，我们将在旧金山APEC会场Moscone Convention Center旁（Canopy by Hilton旅馆的Soma Ballroom会议厅）举办一场中国“国是会议”的新闻发布会。届时将公布我们共同起草的《告国民书》，同时发布两个相关文件：《我们关于时局的看法》和《关于中国“国是会议”的说明》，随后由三位共同发起人回答媒体和各界朋友的提问。除三位联合发起人之外，发布会还邀请了中外嘉宾与会。

美国国会中国特设委员会主席麦克•加拉格尔议员等将参加这个新闻发布会。
