In early
November 2023, Wei Jingsheng, Wang Dan, and Wang Juntao proposed in San
Francisco that Congress on China's Directions be held at home and abroad. Its goals and tasks are to discuss a
plan to end the corrupt tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and
establish a democratic China as a political force that is responsible for the
future of China and the world, as well as an indispensable part of the
international democratic camp.
Why hold the
Congress on China’s Directions? The
documents of the Congress on China’s Directions pointed out: The Chinese people
in the midst of serious disasters need to create a democratic China. China is in crisis today, its darkest
moment in more than 40 years! China
has degenerated into an autocratic dictatorship with the whole country surnamed
CCP and the whole CCP surnamed Xi, which has caused profound disasters to China
in the political, economic, social, cultural and other aspects. All walks of life in China are eager to
end the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party and the dictatorship of Xi
Jinping. Only a free and democratic
system can end tyranny, achieve citizens’ fair sharing of the fruits of
development, and realize national security and long-term peace and
stability. This also provides
strong protection for the peace development of the world, the creation of a
democratic China, and international political stability! Taiwan's well-established democracy can
only continue to thrive and survive if China also democratizes. Therefore, promoting China's
democratization is not only Taiwan's responsibility, but also Taiwan's
vitality. The Chinese democratic
movement must unite and cooperate with democratic forces in Taiwan, Hong Kong,
Tibet, among the Uyghurs, Southern Mongolia, etc. to
establish a broad democratic revolutionary alliance, to jointly promote and
establish the constitutional democratic system of the future China.
Over the past
thirty years or so, the Chinese democratic movement has complex organizations
and numerous factions, each with its own agenda. Although we managed to keep the team
together, keep chanting, and keep holding the flags up, there were many fences
everywhere, which made our efforts dispersed, and little results achieved.
Friends in the
pro-democracy movement circle are all responsible persons and parties. How can we unite as one and walk into
the new world of democracy movement in China? In ancient times, there was "the eternal
dialogue between King Wen of Zhou and I Ching -- the
Book of Changes", which embodies the wisdom and gathering of China's
national destiny. The Congress on
China’s Directions will be a modern version of the wisdom and gathering of the
development of China's democratic constitutional government and national
destiny.
The honored
guests who will attend the conference are: Wei Jingsheng, Tienchi
Martin-Liao, Dr. Jhy-wey Shieh,
Dr. Wang Juntao, Simon Cheng Man-Kit, Representative Sonam
Tsering Frasi, David Hardingham, Hon-Shiang Lau, Enver Tohti Bugda,
Tony Chui, Johnny Fok, etc.
On January
20-21, 2024, the European Conference in Preparation of the Congress on China’s
Directions for Opinion Collection and Discussion will be held in London,
UK. This is for
the purpose of gathering opinions from all parties and discuss future
strategies. This conference is
jointly organized by the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition, the Chinese
Democratic Party Headquarters in UK, and Sino Euro Voices. It invites leaders of the Chinese
democracy movement from European countries to attend as well.

2023年11月初，魏京生、王丹、王軍濤在舊金山倡議，將在海內外舉行中國「國是會議」，其目標與任務：商議結束中共腐敗暴政，建立民主中國的方案，作為對中國和世界前途負責任的政治力量，作為國際民主陣營不可或缺的組成部分。
為什麼舉辦「國是會議」？「國是會議」文件指出：處在深重災難中的中國人民需要創建一個民主中國。當今中國處於危難之中，是四十多年來的至暗時刻！中國淪為全國姓黨、全黨姓習的專制獨裁體制，在政治、經濟、社會、文化等方面給中國深重的災難。中國各界迫切期盼結束中共暴政和習近平獨裁，只有自由民主制度，才能結束暴政、實現公民公平分享發展的果實，才能實現國泰民安、長治久安，這也為世界和平發展、創建一個民主中國、國際政治穩定提供了有力保障！台灣已立根基的民主惟有在中國也民主化的情況下，才可能接續茁壯與永續存活下去。因此，促進中國民主化既是台灣的責任，亦是台灣的生機所在。中國民運必須與臺灣、香港、西藏、維吾爾、南蒙古等各民主力量團結與合作，建立廣泛民主革命大聯盟，共同推動與建立未來中國的憲政民主制度。
三十餘年來，中國民運的現況是：組織繁雜、山頭眾多，各有綱領、各謀其政。雖說做到了隊伍不散、口號不斷、旗子不倒，但是籬笆林立，處處欄柵，力量分散，成效甚微等。
民運圈內的朋友，都是責任人，都是當事人，如何凝成一股繩，聚成一股力，走出中國民運新天地？古有「周文王與《易經》的永恒對話」，凝聚了中華國運的智慧與薈萃。「國是會議」將是現代版的中國民主憲政國運發展的智慧與薈萃。
與會嘉賓是：魏京生、廖天琪、謝志偉、王軍濤、鄭文傑、索南次仁、David Hardingham、Hon-Shiang Lau、Enver Tohti Bugda、蔡明達、霍嘉誌等。
茲定於1月20-21日，在倫敦舉行「國是會議」歐洲意見征集與商討會，匯聚各方意見，探討未來策略。會議由中國民主運動海外聯席會議、英國民主黨總部、歐洲之聲聯合籌辦。會議邀請歐洲各國的中國民運負責人出席會議。
