 Dear friends of Mr. Wei Jingsheng, Wei Jingsheng Foundation and all the others who are concerned about human rights and democracy in China:

 On this Thanksgiving Day, finally, the Wei Jingsheng Foundation is releasing its pilot issue of news and articles for the Internet.  Our releases will be reporting on what is happening in China and what Mr. Wei Jingsheng and other Chinese human rights and democracy advocators both inside and outside China have been doing recently, as well as reviews of the past work and events.

 Meanwhile, we are also announcing the launch of our websites:

a) www.weijingsheng.org for news about Mr. Wei Jingsheng and the Foundation, as well as articles and speeches by Mr. Wei, and

b) a list of other sites for news about the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition under Mr. Wei's leadership, as well as the efforts inside and outside China for human rights and democracy in China, including labor movements, freedom of speech and association, and Internet freedom.  They are:

 Although our communications and websites need a lot of improvement, we have to say that they are the fruit of many who take Mr. Wei Jingsheng as a model, a man who is devoted and contributes a lot to Chinese human rights and the democracy cause.  Hold a belief in a noble cause, these people volunteered and worked hard for Chinese human rights and democracy.  Their contribution and sacrifice is all because of the hope for a free and democratic China and our fellow Chinese.

 At this Thanksgiving time, Mr. Wei Jingsheng and the Foundation want to take this opportunity to thank all of you, for what you have done and what you have said, for your compassion and righteousness for our fellow Chinese people, and for the dignity and freedom of all humanity.
